Congregation
The party's Congregation score is an optional mechanic designed to reward players for engaging in roleplay, representing how connected the PCs are to one another. Methods to increase a party's Congregation score ultimately come from inter-character roleplay; the more the party gets to know one another, either positively or negatively, the higher the party's Congregation Score. Ultimately, it's up to the players to decide whether a meaningful connection exists, but each should be qualified by events and interactions that have taken place during the adventure.
| Score | Description |
|---|---|
| 0 | No PCs have formed any connections with any other PCs. |
| 1 | One PC has formed a connection with another PC. |
| 2 | Multiple PCs have formed connections with multiple PCs. |
| 3 | At least one PC has formed a connection with every other PC. |
| 4 | Every PC has formed a connection with every other PC. |
Congregate Ability: After you make a D20 roll, you may leverage the bonds inside your party to push yourself beyond your normal limit, either in comradery or competition, gaining a morale bonus equal to the party's current Congregation score. You may do this for free once per Long Rest, and may spend a Resolve Point any time thereafter to do so again.
