Gnatvi

Vesk · Mercenary · Soldier

Backstory

Gnatviramada Sangdor is the daughter of the decorated Major General Ramadashki "Five Lives" Sangdor. To no one's surprise, she was raised with the very best training the Vesk could offer— training which she took to with great vigour. Clearly being positioned to succeed her mother, it quickly became obvious that one day Gnatviramada may even surpass her mother politically, so great was her skill in combat.

Gnat/Gnatvi, as she was known to her friends, always understood the path that had been set out for her. She knew there was no point considering anything else, and, honestly, she didn't want to. Enlisting in the Vesk military, she quickly rose through the ranks. Her prowess with both a weapon and hand-to-hand combat, combined with her strategic mind (clearly inherited from her father, Gnakashlog "Quickthinker" Sangdor), catapulted her to the rank of Corporal before she suddenly and unexpectedly took the Soldier's Due.

Everyone was shocked that this rising star would step away at the height of her success, but didn't question her— she's in her right to take her Due. Most assumed she was taking it before things got even busier for her, or even that she was quietly beginning to crack under the pressure. What Gnatvi would not reveal to anyone was the true reason— she had been spooked.

On her latest operation (one that only a few high-ranking officials were privy to) she encountered an artefact. It was old— too old. And since she had come into contact with it, she couldn't escape it. She tried to get rid of it, only for it to show up in her path or possession over and over again. It whispered to her and showed her terrible parts of the past— or were they the future? She couldn't be sure. Were they even true? All she knew is that sleep was getting harder to come by. That she had to step away from her family and her career before she destroyed it all. And that this all had something to do with the Swarm.

Prelude to WSCL

Gnatvi's prelude is still being written.
